Legal
GDPR & your data
This page explains local data controls and rights that may apply under the EU GDPR, UK GDPR or similar laws. It is not a certification of legal compliance.
Local resume content
Okay Resume processes resume content on your device. Dizimint Innovatives does not receive that content through the app and cannot retrieve or edit your local files. Website hosting logs, third-party library requests and any support correspondence are separate from this local content; see the Privacy policy.
Controls available in the app
- Access and correct: open any resume and edit it.
- Export: save a PDF, Word or image copy. Copy as JSON in the resume's More menu provides structured, machine-readable data. The app does not import JSON files.
- Delete: choose Delete in a resume's More menu and confirm. On the web, clear this site's browser data to remove stored resumes and settings.
- Stop local processing: close the app. Resume checks run locally and are not used to make hiring decisions for an employer.
- Usage analytics: choose whether to share app usage under Settings > Usage analytics. It is off by default and can be switched off at any time. This stops future collection, without deleting information already sent.
Device backups and previously exported or shared files must be managed separately. Removing a local resume does not erase those other copies.
Rights under data protection law
Where applicable, you may have rights to information, access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. These rights depend on the processing and legal conditions involved. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. You may also complain to the relevant data protection authority, such as your EU/EEA national authority or the UK's Information Commissioner's Office.
For requests about information held by a website host or another service you use, contact the responsible service. The local controls above do not replace rights you may have in relation to that service's processing.
Data transfers
The app does not upload resume content to us. Website hosting, downloads of third-party libraries, Google's ad and Firebase services in the installed apps, device backups and destinations you choose when sharing may involve services in other countries and their own policies.
Storage and tracking
Optional Google Analytics runs only after you enable Settings > Usage analytics and Firebase is connected. It measures usage without including your resume content. The Android and iOS apps also show ads from Google AdMob, which may use your advertising ID as described in the Privacy policy; where consent is required you can give, change or withdraw ad consent under Settings > Privacy choices. The analytics preference and ad consent are separate. The web version has no ads. Browser local storage saves resumes and preferences, and the offline cache stores application files. These functions are described in Cookies & local storage.
